Job summary

The Outreach Team in Torrance, CA is seeking canvassers and team leaders to help turn out voters. Positions include part-time and full-time hours with immediate start.

You will engage respectfully with residents, share a campaign message, and collect survey data, while training to improve outreach skills and safety practices. Leaders will guide field teams, ensure materials are available, and support training and administrative tasks.

Community Canvassers and Team Leaders
Hiring Immediately - $24-26hr
Full-time & Part-time

Help us turn out voters in CA to get out the vote and win! Grassroots efforts are ramping up and we are looking for a team of canvassers to help us reach voters who deserve a voice in this election. From now through Election Day, our team is connecting directly with voters on the ground through door-to-door outreach. We will be supporting candidates who champion progressive values and our shared vision for the future, encouraging people to get out and vote for progressive leaders down the ticket.

This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the following areas: Leadership, Communication & Advocacy, Community Outreach & Engagement, Campaign Work, Public Policy, and Social Enterprise.

Get paid well! Canvassing positions start at $24/hour. Team Lead positions start at $26/hour.

Locations: Torrance, CA

We are hiring immediately, all positions run through November 3rd, 2026 with possibilities for advancement afterwards. Shifts run from 12 pm-7pm weekdays and weekends with the possibility to work part-time or full-time.

The ideal candidate:

• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
• Strong communication skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing and excited to speak with everyone
• Hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
• Open to new challenges and are interested in building their campaign skills
• Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
• Prior canvassing experience is preferred, but not required
