Job summary

The COUNTY OF FRESNO Department of Behavioral Health seeks a Community Mental Health Specialist I to provide case management and supportive services to individuals with behavioral health conditions, co-occurring disorders, and emotional challenges. Incumbents work within community programs to connect clients with needed services and coordinate supports.

Applicants must meet county minimum qualifications including college units, hold a valid driver's license, and maintain Medi-Cal/NPI

Qualifications

• Education: 60 semester units; at least 15 must be in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology or related field.
• License: Valid Class C driver’s license.
• Medi-Cal/NPPES/NPI eligibility must be maintained as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management and supportive services to individuals with behavioral health conditions, co-occurring disorders, and emotional challenges.
• Coordinate with community resources and services to support client needs.
