Job summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health in Rome, GA seeks a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist to support ACT services for adults with severe mental illness in community settings. The role includes coordinating employment, education, and related services, plus resume/interview coaching and active participation in team meetings.

The position requires a 4-year degree in a related field, a valid driver's license, background checks, and pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, human services, criminology, or related field.
• Criminal background check clearance, official transcripts, valid driver’s license/ID, drug screen, TB test, and eligible 7-year Motor Vehicle Report.
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a collaborative community-based service environment for adults with SPMI.
• Link individuals with employment, education, and vocations services.
• Provide resume and interview skills and role modeling.
• Participate in required trainings for Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist on the ACT team.
• Create and update treatment plans, insurance authorizations, assessments, and other documentation.
• Maintain caseload charts in compliance with accreditation standards (ASO, QI, CARF, DBHDD, HFR).
• Attend treatment team meetings four days per week as outlined by fidelity.
• Participate in on-call and weekend rotations; provide transportation as needed.
