Northeast Counseling Services Inc. is seeking an Employment & Vocational Specialist to join its Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team.

You will work with individuals facing serious mental health challenges to identify and pursue vocational goals in the community. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will help clients build skills, explore employment opportunities, overcome barriers, and move toward independence.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in one of the specified fields.
• A Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling is preferred, but other qualifying master's degrees with interest in vocational services will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals on vocational and employment goals within the ACT Team.
• Provide community-based services and support to clients in various settings.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and other professionals to meet client needs.
• Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required.
• Travel throughout the community to deliver services; a valid driver's license is required.

Northeast Counseling Services is seeking a motivated and compassionate Employment & Vocational Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team.

The Vocational Specialist will work directly with individuals living with serious mental health challenges, helping them identify and achieve their vocational and employment goals. As part of a multidisciplinary ACT Team, you will provide services in the community and meet individuals where they are, helping them build skills, explore employment opportunities, overcome barriers, and move toward greater independence and recovery.

You will be part of a collaborative team that includes a Psychiatrist/Physician Assistant, RNs, Mental Health Professional, Drug & Alcohol Counselor, Housing Specialist, and Certified Peer Specialist.

ACT Team services are designed to meet clients' needs when and where support is needed, therefore, some evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.

A valid driver's license is required, as this position involves regular travel throughout the community to provide services.

Qualifications

This position requires a Master's Degree in one of the following or a related field: Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Rehabilitation Counseling.

(A Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling is preferred, but candidates with other qualifying Master's Degrees and an interest in vocational services and community-based mental health will also be considered.)

Salary

Salary: $42,000-$49,500 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
