Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Columbus, OH is seeking a full-time Therapist to join our Community Based Team. You will provide counseling or therapy, advocacy, and support to children and families to help them live safely in the community.

Under supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, you will work with youth, families, foster parents and community partners, travel as needed, maintain timely documentation, and meet productivity thresholds to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or related field from an accredited institution.
• 2 years of work experience with youth and families preferred.
• Valid advanced professional license as required by state or contract regulations.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and good driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours in service of foster caregivers and families.
• Ability to work with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Proficient use of computers and standard software.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, group, and family mental health services and case management.
• Completes documentation in a timely manner.
• Travels daily to deliver community-based services to youth and families.
• Maintains productivity thresholds and coordinates services across disciplines.
• Reviews and updates youth plans to ensure progress and goal achievement.
• Builds strong relationships with foster parents and families.
• Assists in family reunification or stabilization as appropriate.
• Provides safety assessments, crisis response, and stabilization as needed.
• Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement activities and supervision.

Education

Master's Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field
