Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program is seeking an experienced School-Based Therapist in Wheeling, WV. The role involves providing counseling, advocacy, and community-based services to youth and families under supervision, with a focus on safety and stability.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field, with WV licensure (LGSW/LICSW/LPC) and at least 2 years’ direct experience with youth and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field.
• 2 years of direct youth and family work preferred.
• Valid WV LGSW, LICSW, or LPC licensure.
• Willingness to work flexible/non-traditional hours.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Actively supports, represents, and extends the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Provides individual, group, and family mental health services, case management, and related services.
• Travels daily to provide community-based services for youth and families.
• Completes all required documentation and training timely.
• Maintains productivity thresholds and monitors youth/family plans and progress.
