Job summary

Intercept Health in Virginia is seeking a Community Based Specialist I to deliver educational, training, and treatment interventions to youth and adults with behavioral health needs.

You will work on skills such as functional health and safety, personal/interactive behavior, activities of daily living, emotional regulation, pro-social development, and use of community resources, including medication management support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field with 1,500 hours of clinical experience or a Master’s degree with 500 hours of supervised clinical internships/practicum
• Qualified Mental Health Professional-Trainee eligibility (bachelor’s in human services with no 1,500 hours or enrolled in a master/doctoral clinical program)
• Qualified paraprofessional of mental health with an associate degree and one year of face-to-face experience or 90 hours of classroom training with 12 weeks of supervised QMHP-Adult experience

Responsibilities

• Provide educational, training, and/or treatment interventions to youth or adults with a behavioral health need
• Support functional health and safety skills and appropriate personal/interactive behavior
• Aid activities of daily living, emotional regulation, and pro-social development
• Assist with use of community resources and medication management
