Job summary

Intercept Health is seeking a Community Based Specialist I to deliver educational, training, and treatment interventions to youth and adults with behavioral health needs in Virginia. You will support functional health, safety, daily living skills, emotional regulation, and pro-social behaviors, including medication management assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a human services field with 1500 hours of direct clinical experience.
• Master's degree in a human services field with 500 hours of supervised internships/practicum.
• Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with human services credits and 3,000 hours supervised.
• Qualified Mental Health Professional-Trainee: bachelor in human services without 1500 hours or unrelated field with active graduate program; in-monthly DBHDS curriculum and LMHP supervision.
• Qualified paraprofessional of mental health: associate degree in human services and 1 year of face-to-face experience or 90 hours training and 12 weeks QMHP-Adult supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational, training, and treatment interventions to youth, adults, and Intercept clients.
• Intervene in functional health and safety skills, personal/interactive behavior, activities of daily living, and emotional regulation.
• Develop pro-social behaviors and facilitate use of community resources; assist with medication management as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree in human services with 1500 hours clinical experience

Master's degree in human services with 500 hours supervised internships/practicum

Bachelor's degree in unrelated field with human services credits and 3000 hours supervised
