Job summary

Clarvida is seeking a Part-Time Peer Support Specialist (PSS) in North Carolina to assist individuals in recovery through peer support, promoting self-care and community living skills under supervision. You will model recovery, foster hope and empowerment, provide stage-appropriate supports, and travel about 50% to meet clients and participate in community services.

• At least 12 months of paid or volunteer work experience in the past three years or 24 college credits.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Act as a role model to individuals in recovery and inspire hope.
• Facilitate wellness and self-worth development for clients.
• Model recovery processes and coping skills.
• Engage at-risk individuals with stage-appropriate recovery education and supports.
• Use evidence-based practices and the leveling system to support client progress.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time to meet clients and participate in community services.
