Job summary

Clarvida is seeking a Peer Support Specialist (PSS) to join our team in North Carolina. This part-time, on-site role focuses on helping individuals in recovery by providing peer support to improve self-care and community living skills.

You’ll work under supervision of the Clinical or Regional Director, promoting recovery, self-determination, and mental wellness through evidence-based care. The position emphasizes client-centered care, mentoring, and community engagement, with travel about half

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 12 months of paid or volunteer work in past three years or 24 college credits.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Act as a role model to individuals in recovery, inspiring hope through personal experience.
• Facilitate development of wellness and self-worth in clients.
• Model recovery processes and coping skills.
• Engage at-risk individuals and provide stage-appropriate recovery education and supports.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time to meet with clients and participate in community services.
