Resources for Human Development (RHD) Louisiana Metropolitan ACT is seeking an empathetic Individual Support and Placement Specialist to help participants pursue employment and education goals, connect with community opportunities, and develop skills for independence.

You will build relationships with employers, coordinate supports, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary ACT team to promote recovery and meaningful community participation.

Qualifications

• Education and experience equivalent to an undergraduate degree in mental health, social services, business, or a related area.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with participants focused on achieving competitive employment.
• Assess participants' vocational skills, interests, strengths, and preferences on an ongoing basis.
• Develop employment and education plans based on each participant's needs and goals.
• Collaborate with employers and community partners to identify opportunities.
• Provide ongoing support to help participants maintain employment and education progress.
