Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking an Employment Specialist/Job Coach to empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to secure meaningful community-based employment. You will build connections with employers, create resumes, accompany clients to interviews, and document progress within our team.

The role involves travel within the service area, on-the-job training, and collaboration with VR counselors and service partners. Competitive benefits accompany a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Willing to travel within the assigned territory to support community-based program.
• Must have reliable transportation for movement throughout the program delivery area.
• Basic computer skills for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create connections with community employers to identify and create jobs opportunities.
• Develop resumes, prepare and accompany individuals to job interviews, assist with applications.
• Communicate weekly with each person on the caseload and document it.
• Conduct the primary job development activities for the program.
• Maintain case records per licensing and funding standards
• Coordinate communication with parents, case managers, and other agencies.
• Provide on-the-job training at community sites as needed.
• Analyze job duties and complete task analyses as needed.
