Job summary

The WOW Center Miami seeks a Community Based Education (CBE) Coordinator to design engaging learning experiences for adults with developmental disabilities both in class and in the community.

You will collaborate with Education and Social Services teams to plan activities, track progress, and ensure safety and inclusion in every experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide flexible support in group and one-on-one settings.

• Maintain attendance, breaks, therapy sessions, and activities records.
• Support events and program activities like Fashion Show and Therap activities.
• Participate in IPP and Support Plan meetings.

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee Community-Based Education (CBE) experiences.
• Develop and maintain monthly CBE calendars and schedules.

• Safely transport individuals to/from locations.
• Maintain mileage logs and transportation documentation.

What You'll Do…

The Community Based Education (CBE) Coordinator helps create engaging, meaningful learning experiences for adults with developmental disabilities—both in the classroom and throughout the community. Working alongside instructors and other program staff, you’ll encourage individuals to participate, build independence, develop new skills, and work toward their personal goals in a safe and supportive environment.

A key part of this role is helping bring learning into the community. You’ll help plan and coordinate CBE activities and outings, including schedules, participant information, permissions, transportation, documentation, and family communication. You’ll also provide hands‑on support during classroom activities and community experiences, adapting your approach to meet different abilities and needs.

The CBE Coordinator works closely with the Education and Social Services teams to track progress, communicate important observations or concerns, and make sure each experience is safe, organized, and purposeful.

Desired Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)


• Prior experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred

Licensing, Certifications & Requirements

• Valid Florida Driver’s License (required)

Professional Responsibilities and Duties

Classroom & Program Support

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee Community-Based Education (CBE) experiences
