Job summary

MacDonald Training Center, Inc. is looking for an Employment Specialist to help individuals with disabilities explore career opportunities, prepare for employment, and secure and retain jobs in the community.

The role emphasizes person-centered planning, collaboration with families, schools, and local employers, and ongoing coaching. Qualified candidates will have strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills, plus a valid driver’s license and ability to travel within

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Background in vocational rehabilitation, job coaching, or related services is a plus.
• Experience with DVR, APD, schools, or community providers is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with career exploration, resumes, applications, interview prep, and readiness.
• Develop relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities and promote inclusive hiring.
• Provide individualized job coaching, workplace training, and ongoing employment support.
• Collaborate with individuals, families, schools, employers, DVR, APD, and community partners.
• Support individualized employment planning, job retention, and increased independence.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and required reporting and training.
