Job summary

Confidential Employer in Falls Church, VA is seeking a litigation attorney to represent community associations and common interest communities. You will manage matters from intake to resolution, draft pleadings, conduct research, and participate in hearings, depositions, and negotiations.

Active VA or MD bar admissions and 1+ year of litigation experience are required; DC bar is a plus. This role offers ownership of substantive matters, direct client contact, and a competitive salary between

Responsibilities

• Represent community associations and related parties in litigation and general matters.
• Manage assigned matters from initial assessment through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop practical litigation strategies.
• Participate in hearings, depositions, negotiations and other proceedings.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide clear guidance.
• Collaborate with attorneys on substantive matters and grow courtroom skills.
• Take increasing ownership of cases and client management.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia or Maryland bar admission required.
• 1+ year of litigation experience required.
• Community association, HOA, condominium, real estate, property, or related litigation experience is highly valued.
• Strong legal research, writing, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
• Self-directed, motivated, and eager to gain meaningful courtroom exposure.
• Deposition and/or trial experience is a plus.
• D.C. bar admission is a plus.
