Job description

Let’s Change the World

Many say it, few actually do it.

Newman Student Housing Fund is a national leader in faith-based student housing. We unite with local Catholic campus ministry teams to build facilities where students can live out their faith on college campuses all across the country.

Our mission is simple: Building Communities. Changing Lives. We inspire everyone who enters our doors to become the best version of themselves. People love our mission — and come to find out, they love working here as well.

We are a family-oriented team all working towards a common good.

We do not take ourselves too seriously.

We do not hire prima donnas. We work for the real Madonna.

What You'll Do:

As a Community Assistant, you will be responsible for all aspects of leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations.

You Will:
  • Show, lease, and move in prospective residents; greet, qualify, tour the community, and sign leases.
  • Conduct functions necessary to close sales, including making appointments, generating new leads, conducting tours, and all follow-up.
  • Maintain a professional and personal atmosphere in the leasing office and other areas where prospective residents may meet.
  • Inspect models and ready units daily to ensure they meet standards.
  • Answer incoming calls and handle each, whether it is a prospective new resident, current resident with a complaint, or service request.
  • Utilize established sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic, maintain closing ratios, and work to achieve and exceed leasing goals.
  • Perform various administrative tasks as needed.
What You Need to Get the Job Done:
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Sales experience in multifamily housing, student housing, hospitality, or retail industries.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Team player with high levels of professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm.
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
What Will Make Us REALLY Love You:
  • You are enthusiastic and enjoy your work.
  • You are bilingual.
  • You are awesome!
What You'll Love About Us:
  • Great Company Culture. We are a team. We work as one. We act as one.
  • Work that Stays at Work. Genuine work/life balance served here!
