Job summary

Dartmouth Health's Department of Anesthesiology seeks a General Anesthesiologist to join Valley Regional Hospital in Sullivan County, NH, a designated critical access facility. You will work with surgeons, CRNAs, nurses, and the perioperative team in a collaborative setting, delivering anesthesia care to adults and adolescents across diverse cases.

You will perform general and regional anesthesia and contribute to efficient OR operations, with teaching opportunities through Dartmouth-Hitchcock

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Experience or interest in both academic and community practice settings.
• Excellent clinical judgment, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for adult and adolescent patients across a diverse community hospital population.
• Care for a broad range of surgical cases across specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, ophthalmology, and robotics.
• Provide both general and regional anesthesia, including regional blocks and related procedures.
• Support efficient, high-quality OR operations.
• Develop strong working relationships with surgical and anesthesia colleagues in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Help ensure access to high-quality anesthesia and surgical care close to home for Sullivan County residents.
• Participate in quality, safety, and practice improvement initiatives.
• Maintain opportunities for teaching and mentorship through the Dartmouth-Hitchcock connection.
