Job summary

Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare seeks a full-time Child & Family Clinician to deliver outpatient therapy in schools or agency clinics and provide Intensive In-Home Behavioral Health Treatment as needed. The clinician works with a multidisciplinary team, maintains treatment plans, and coordinates care with families and partners.

Must have a Master’s degree and relevant licensure preferred; bilingual Spanish is a bonus.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in the Behavioral Sciences from an accredited university.
  • At least 3 years of outpatient clinical experience working with youth & families preferred.
  • Licensure (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred (10% bilingual wage bonus).

Responsibilities

  • Complete mental health assessments and update treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, family & group therapy to assigned caseload.
  • Administer & record screenings (CSSRS, GAD-7, OHIO, HOPE, PHQ-9) per protocol.
  • Work from a systems-based approach integrating caregivers/family into therapy.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and ensure proper documentation per standards.

Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare has moved most positions to a 4 day 9 hour work week with paid 30 minute lunches to promote a better work life balance.Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare (CBH) has an immediate opening for a full time Child & Family Community and School based Clinician. This position provides outpatient services in the schools and/or agency clinics, as well as Intensive In-Home Behavioral Health Treatment (IIBHT) for children & families, as needed. This position is available to rotate between county high schools and CBH offices in north & south county; service location is dependent on program & client need. IIBHT services are provided in the home and/or community. The clinician is responsible for an assigned caseload that may vary in size.The Child and Family Clinician provides individual, family & group therapy to assigned caseload and documents all contacts in keeping with agency standards. Clinician ensures all services to clients are closely tied to their treatment plans. This position functions as part of an inter-disciplinary team and possess flexibility in assisting fellow team members to provide continuity & consistency of care to the agency’s clients. s. The clinician will possess or complete certification in providing TFCBT to families. The clinician completes mental health assessments & updates; assists youth/families in creating & updating treatment plans; administers safety assessments (i.e. CSSRS); creates/updates safety plans with youth/families, in keeping with agency standards.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Complete mental health assessments & updates to gather information regarding client functioning, current symptoms, family history & other information necessary for diagnosing.Assist youth & family in developing & updating a meaningful service plan. For youth in IIBHT, meet with a youth & family within 3 days of admission into program to assess needs and complete the treatment plan.Administer & record various screenings (i.e. CSSRS; GAD-7; OHIO & HOPE scales), as indicated or required by program. Administer & record PHQ-9 screenings for clients every 90 days.Provide family, group & individual services in keeping with evidence-based practices; maintain a strengths-based approach in working with families, community partners, team members & staff.Work from a systems-based approach, to integrate youth’s caregivers/family into therapeutic services on an ongoing basis; inform parents/guardians of all imminent safety concerns; encourage & empower youth to share important information with caregivers/family members, as appropriate & therapeutically beneficial.Obtain, update & confirm Release of Information to consult & coordinate with other community partners and/or family members. Be knowledgeable of community resources; refer clients & facilitate access to these supports.Participate in regularly scheduled supervision, team meetings, agency meetings and required/assigned trainings.Complete & maintain all clinical documents & client files according to compliance standards with the State of Oregon Administrative Rules, CPCCO Quality Assurance Standards established at CBHMaintain productivity in keeping with agency expectations & standards, including a continued focus on treatment goals & timely closing of charts, as indicated.Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the profession.Coordinate discharge planning with all treatment providers.Remain flexible to the changing demands of a mental health system and the needs of the clients, the team & the agency.CBH provides anti-racist, gender-affirming care; clinician remains up-to-date on best practices related to serving marginalized populations.All CBH Staff are Mandatory Abuse Reporters per the State of Oregon, as such all staff must be aware of and follow Mandatory Abuse Reporting Policies.Other duties may be agreed upon or assigned based on the needs of the agency to provide the best possible care to its clients, families and community.Education and Experience:A Master’s degree in the Behavioral Sciences from an accredited university requiredAt least 3 years of outpatient clinical experience working with youth & families is preferred.Licensure (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) is preferred (wage range 37.46-48.88 per hour)Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred (10% bilingual wage bonus)The above statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills.CBH offers an exceptional BENEFIT package.For full time employees, benefits include: Medical (minimal premium cost to employee), Dental (Employer Paid), Vision (employer paid), 403(b) Retirement (fully vested 5% employer contribution after 1 year of employment), Life Insurance (Employer Paid), Short-term Disability (Employer Paid), and Employee Assistance Program.
