An established industry player is seeking a Community and Donor Engagement Specialist to enhance outreach initiatives within diverse communities. This role involves developing programs that raise awareness and facilitate blood donation, particularly among underrepresented groups. The ideal candidate will possess strong bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish, along with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The primary responsibility of the Community and Donor Engagement Specialist (CDES) is to develop and execute an outreach program with initiatives focused on expanding awareness of Carter BloodCare (CBC) in the Hispanic/Latino, Black/African-American, and other historically underrepresented communities in the blood donor base.
The CDES performs and coordinates a wide range of activities, such as helping create the strategic plan and organizing day-to-day operations. This position demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to quality healthcare, blood donation, multiculturalism, and community health. The CDES displays excellent customer service, acting as a key public-facing liaison and working closely with Donor Recruitment, Collections, Medical Services, Marketing, and Public Relations.
This position requires the ability to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. Frequent work during evening and weekend hours is required.
This position requires fluency in English and Spanish. Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak Spanish proficiently to communicate with clients and donors.
Regular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours.
