Job summary

Veracity Engineering is seeking a Communications System Engineer in Atlantic City, NJ to support FAA Air/Ground and fiber optic equipment programs. You will ensure training requirements align with FAA orders and coordinate with FAA stakeholders and academia to secure documents and learning tools.

The role requires 15+ years of FAA radio and telco experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide training material development and deployment across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, or Computer Science.
• 15+ years of communication system engineering experience with FAA radio and telco equipment.
• Knowledge of FAA training orders and FAA training techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to address FAA training needs.

Responsibilities

• Review FAA radio and telco documents to ensure training requirements are addressed.
• Coordinate with FAA stakeholders and academia to secure documents and learning tools.
• Review documents from FAA policy perspective and ensure proper wording and orders.
• Develop acquisition schedules to time training activities appropriately.
• Guide other programs on required training and training material needs.
• Assist in preparing training material (presentations, manuals, etc.).
• Oversee training activities with FAA training staff.
• Ensure follow-up on training programs is prepared and available.

Veracity Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Communications System Engineer in our customers Headquarters located in the heart of Atlantic City, NJ. This position will be responsible for supporting Veracity’s Federal Aviation Administration Air/Ground and Fiber Optic equipment acquisition and implementation contracts. The candidate will require a knowledge of FAA training orders and policy documents. The candidate will be required to:

What you will get to do

• Review Air/Ground radio and telco acquisition documents to ensures that training requirements are addressed and are specific to system maintenance philosophies.
• Coordinate with FAA stakeholders and possible Academia to ensure that proper documents and learning tools are available.
• Review acquisition documents from the FAA policy perspective and ensure proper wording and orders are included.
• Support the development of acquisition schedules to ensure proper placement of training activities and timing for those activities is provided.
• Provide guidance to other programs on what type of training and training material is required for a specific program to move forward.
• Support the preparation of training material when required. (Presentations, operation & maintenance manuals, etc.).
• At time oversee training activities with FAA training staff.
• Ensure that follow up on training program are prepared and available.

Must haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science.
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of communication system engineering experience specifically with FAA radio and telco equipment.
• Knowledge of FAA current training techniques, FAA Training orders, required certification for communication equipment and equipment training requirements.
• Subject Matter Expert on FAA training.
• Knowledge of FAA communication radio and telco equipment.
• Ability to address FAA training needs required by different communication equipment types.
• Outstanding communication skills and comfortable speaking to crowds.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
