Freeman Health System in Joplin, MO is seeking a dedicated hospital switchboard operator for a full-time day shift. You will manage external and internal calls, route them to the correct departments, and support physicians and staff with timely communication.

We call in teams such as the STEMI team and CVOR team. Primarily responsible for the operation of the hospital switchboard. This includes answering external and internal calls and routing them as needed or requested. It includes contacting physicians and hospital personnel. The position monitors many hospital alarms, follows procedures to notify appropriate staff as documented, and documents actions taken. Responsible for notifications during emergency situations such as weather alerts. Effective communication is needed to excel in this position.
