Freeman Health System in Joplin, MO is seeking a full-time Telecom Operator to manage the hospital switchboard, answer external and internal calls, and route them to the correct destinations. You will monitor alarms and coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure timely communication.

In addition, we monitor MANY different alarms and ensure the proper team/person is notified.We call in teams such as the STEMI team and CVOR team.We love to help our patients and the rest of our Freeman family by always being a call away, rather it be a simple request to transfer a call, assist in finding a phone number, borrowing phone charge, calling codes and alarms, to just about anything, we are here for it all 24/7!Schedule:Full-time (40 hours per week), Day shiftDays off TBDWhat You’ll DoPrimarily responsible for the operation of the hospital switchboard. This includes answering external and internal calls and routing them as needed or requested. It includes contacting physicians and hospital personnel. The position monitors many hospital alarms, follows procedures to notify appropriate staff as documented, and documents actions taken. Responsible for notifications during emergency situations such as weather alerts.
