Job summary

LHH is seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to drive awareness and participation in energy efficiency programs across New Jersey. You will engage residents, organizations, and stakeholders, deliver presentations, promotional messaging, and coordinate outreach activities.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or related field and at least 3 years in outreach, PR, or marketing. Travel across Northern and Southern New Jersey and onsite at least three days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in community outreach, corporate advocacy, customer engagement, public relations, communications, or marketing.
• Experience representing a company, organization, or business interests with external audiences and stakeholders.
• Strong presentation, written communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to develop educational content, promotional materials, and customer-facing communications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with event support, community engagement, brand ambassadorship, or stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary point of contact for residential customers, responding to inquiries and generating program interest.
• Support event planning, logistics, stakeholder engagement efforts, and special projects as assigned.

• Ability to travel throughout Northern and Southern New Jersey as needed and work onsite a minimum of three days per week.
