• Creative thinker able to generate new ideas and test innovative approaches.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills across departments.
• Willingness and ability to travel and board vessels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with vessel and shore-based employees to source authentic stories.
• Support internal and external communications with messaging ideas.
• Use analytics to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Assist with internal communications plans, campaigns, calendars, and promotions.
• Participate in planning and brainstorming for communications projects and events.
• Handle day-to-day communications tasks and special projects as needed.

About Marquette:

Headquartered in Paducah, Kentucky and founded in 1978, Marquette is a leading provider of inland marine transportation services. Our Company operates over 130 towboats on the Mississippi River System, Gulf-Intracoastal Waterway, and near-shore coastwise market. Principal Responsibilities:

• Create and edit engaging multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and social media reels that reflect the Marquette brand.
• Conduct interviews with vessel and shore-based employees to source authentic stories that showcase Marquette's people and culture.
• Support internal and external communications by generating content ideas and assisting with messaging.
• Leverage analytics to determine effectiveness and seek continuous improvement of communication and marketing initiatives.
• Assist with internal communications plan, including campaign themes, content calendar, and promotional strategies.
• Participates in planning and strategic brainstorming for communications projects and events.
• Assist with day-to-day communications tasks and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Currently seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related fields.
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook) and an interest in emerging digital trends.
