Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related fields.
• Familiar with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook) and digital trends.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with design and video editing tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
• Self-starter who works independently and initiates ideas with minimal oversight.
• Creative thinker able to generate new ideas and test innovative approaches.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills across departments.
• Willingness and ability to travel and board vessels.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit multimedia content (graphics, videos, social media reels) reflecting the Marquette brand.
• Conduct interviews with vessel and shore-based employees to source authentic stories.
• Support internal and external communications with messaging ideas.
• Use analytics to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Assist with internal communications plans, campaigns, calendars, and promotions.
• Participate in planning and brainstorming for communications projects and events.
• Handle day-to-day communications tasks and special projects as needed.
