Blue Rose Research is seeking a Communications and Political Associate to transform research into clear materials for political leaders, clients, and press. This early-career role focuses on drafting, research, and coordination, with guidance from senior staff.

You will draft memos, talking points, and briefing materials, while monitoring news for timely polling and message testing. Prior experience in Democratic politics and strong writing skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Democratic politics, campaigns, legislative offices, or progressive advocacy.
• Strong writing and editing skills, including turning research into clear points and briefing materials.
• Comfort coordinating meetings and materials with political staff, clients, and media contacts.
• Working knowledge of Democratic politics, organizations, and current news landscape.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple drafts under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft and edit memos, presentations, and client-facing materials.
• Draft talking points, Q&A documents, and briefing materials for press appearances.
• Monitor news and media coverage to identify opportunities for polling and message testing.
• Prepare research summaries for briefings with campaigns and partners.
• Collect talking points and statements for message testing.
