Job summary

CEIS Power is seeking a Marketing Strategy Consultant I in Cedar Rapids, IA, with occasional remote work. The role supports creation and delivery of customer solutions and products through marketing and communications channels.

You will coordinate activities to engage employees and customers, reinforce the brand, and assist with events and campaigns. The position reports to a Manager and requires collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, marketing or related area.
• 2 years of technical or professional experience or equivalent.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

CEIS Power is currently looking for a Marketing Strategy Consultant I for one of our top clients in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Role: Marketing Strategy Consultant

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa (Heavy on location but open to Madison Wisconsin)

Work Schedule: Monday and Friday (Option of remote) Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in the office. (40 HR Work Weeks)

Job Summary

Assists in the effective creation and delivery of customer solutions and products to employees and/or customers through various marketing and communications channels. Coordinates activities to assist in participation and engagement in products that supports the overall company brand.

Accountabilities

Primary Accountabilities

• Ensures marketing includes appropriate employee awareness of company information and activities.
• Recommends and supports the best methods and types of marketing or communication tools to reinforce key messages.
• Uses creative concepts and writing to reinforce company brand and effectively market programs or solutions to employees and customers.
• Supports planned marketing activities for internal and/or external customers with an understanding of the subject matter to incorporate into communications. *Ensures marketing and communications activities meet internal customers’ timing and objectives. Consider potential impacts on other planned communications and assists with the identification of key stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Applies various marketing strategies to successfully meet the expected response from the target audience.
• Participates in community events to enhance company reputation and brand .

Supervision

• Performs work under the direct supervision of a Manager.

Educational Requirements

Education Level Field of Study Required/Preferred Bachelor's Degree Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or related area.

Preferred Required Experience

• 2 years of technical or professional experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities *Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. *Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheet and project management) preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, cross functional team capacity to bring marketing ideas from concept to execution.
• Demonstrated experience with event management and sponsorships. *Demonstrated understanding of short and long-term marketing plan development, budgeting and project scheduling.
• Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
