Qualifications

  • Experience managing digital platforms, websites, and social media.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the Town’s communications and public engagement strategy.
  • Serve as the primary media contact and manage all public information requests, including MPIA.
  • Write, edit, and deliver high-quality content across all platforms—press releases, newsletters, website, and official communications.
  • Produce and oversee theTown Crierand digital communications (email, social media, website).
  • Record and prepare official meeting minutes for Mayor & Council and Boards/Commissions.
  • Manage branding, messaging, and visual identity across all Town communications.
  • Coordinate marketing and outreach for Town programs, services, and initiatives.
  • Oversee multimedia production (video, photography, cable programming).
  • Monitor engagement metrics and adjust strategies based on performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, residents, businesses, and community stakeholders.
  • Support real-time communications during emergencies and critical incidents.

Total Compensation: Up to ~$134,000 (Salary + Benefits)

The Town of Riverdale Park is seeking a strategic, hands-on Communications Manager to lead the Town's community engagement. This is more than a communications role—it’s a leadership position responsible for ensuring residents, businesses, and stakeholders receive clear, timely, and trusted information.

What You Bring

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required within 12 months
