Job summary

Arista Advanced Pet Care in Durham, NC seeks a Communication Liaison to act as the human touch between clients, pets, and veterinary teams. You will manage front-to-back information flow, advocate for patients, and help reduce client stress during visits.

You’ll coordinate with the Care Navigation Team, ensure clear updates, and refine communication protocols. The role requires exceptional customer service, strong verbal and written communication, empathy, and the ability to work nights,

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for in-person, telephone, video, email, and texting.

• Client Communication: Facilitate efficient information flow between the hospital team and clients.
• Internal Coordination: Relay client needs between front of house and back of house.
• Process Improvement: Help develop protocols to reduce client stress and improve efficiency.
• Patient Advocacy: Be the friendly, professional voice of Arista Advanced Pet Care Hospital.

About the Role

The Communication Liaison is a critical role in ensuring patient and client advocacy while coordinating with internal Team Members for the best possible outcomes for pets. In essence, you will be the "human touch" and organizational hub, ensuring clarity and compassion in high-stress veterinary environments.

A Day in the Life

• Client Communication: Facilitate the hospital team's ability to work as efficiently as possible with minimal interruption by managing the flow of basic communication, including updates and information flow through the appropriate channels
• Internal Coordination: Communicating client needs and concerns from "front of house" to "back of house" and vice versa
• Process Improvement: Developing and refining communication protocols to reduce client stress and improve efficiency. Work closely with the Care Navigation Team to ensure a streamlined, well-organized, and comfortable experience for each client and their pet

• Ability to work in-person nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed
• Ability to meet any position-specific screening requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire
