Job summary

Blackhawk Technical College is seeking qualified candidates to instruct communication courses within our General Education Division, with availability for daytime, evenings, and/or online instruction. Instructors may be asked to provide instruction on any Blackhawk Campus.

Responsibilities include planning, delivering instruction, assessing outcomes, managing classrooms, maintaining records, and supporting student success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse student populations.
• Proficiency in computer use and educational technology.
• An educational philosophy prioritizing student learning in design, delivery and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver instruction and facilitate student learning.
• Assess learning outcomes at the unit, course and program levels.
• Fulfills scheduled hours and maintains attendance and grade records.
• Maintain a safe, orderly instructional environment and equipment security.
• Collaborate with instructional team on planning, development and budgeting.
• Support students as a mentor and role model for career goals.
