The Cloud + AI (C+AI) organization delivers a set of hyperscale cloud solutions and services including Azure, Microsoft’s cloud computing platform, that help organizations across the globe solve urgent challenges and transform for the future. The Executive Office of the EVP of Cloud + AI is seeking a Communications Director to lead strategic communications for this critical sector of the Microsoft business.

In this role you will collaborate and develop close partnerships while orchestrating work across the broader Cloud + AI Engineering organization, and key stakeholders including Marketing, Sales, Public Relations, Corporate Communications, and Human Resources. You should work well in a team, drive impactful results, and uphold the team’s philosophy to operate with the highest levels of integrity and trust. You will show the utmost discretion in the management of confidential corporate information.
Developing an understanding of the EVP’s business priorities and serving as a trusted advisor to the Chief of Staff on communications is essential to your success. You will develop internal and external communications strategies that articulate and enhance understanding of organizational vision and underscore Microsoft Azure’s leadership in accelerating cloud and AI innovation. The scope includes technical storytelling, employee/community/event engagement, public relations & media, crisis communications, investor relations, analyst relations, community leadership, social media, and more.

Telling our end-to-end Microsoft Cloud story and communicating with our employees, customers, partners, and other audiences calls for a creative edge and desire for world-class storytelling.

Communications IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
