Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with the organization’s objectives.
  • Lead the creation of all forms of media, including press releases, digital media, newsletters, and official statements.
  • Manage the communications team to ensure high productivity and timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with media outlets, and oversee the execution of media campaigns and interviews.
  • Collaborate with other leaders within the organization to craft and refine messaging to support various policy positions and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies, adjusting plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Represent the organization at public events and serve as the official spokesperson when designated.
  • Maintain a crisis communications plan and lead the response to any public relations issues.
  • Guide the digital marketing team in enhancing the organization’s online presence and audience engagement.
  • Coordinate with political campaigns and party organizations to ensure consistency and strategic alignment of messages.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations affecting organizational communications.

Preference for those who also have some poitical experience.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Deep understanding of the media landscape and established media relations.Strong experience in strategic communications planning and execution across multiple platforms.Ability to perform well under pressure and manage crisis communication effectively.Demonstrated skill in digital marketing, including content creation and social media management.Highly skilled in project management and organizational leadership.Adept in using modern communication tools and platforms.Experienced in budget development and fiscal management.Knowledgeable about current political issues, with a firm grasp of conservative ideology.Ability to collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.Commitment to the mission and values of TARS, Inc., and a clear understanding of its goals.Legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.Preference for candidates located in either the Washington, DC or Tri-Cities (TN) areas, however fully remote candidates will be considered. This position will require some travel.
