Position Summary/Purpose of Position: The Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology (IMET) seeks to hire a Communications and Development Coordinator. This person will communicate IMET’s achievements within the University System of Maryland and to our stakeholders, including donors and members of the local community as well as the national and international scientific community. The Communications and Development Coordinator will nurture IMET’s existing donors and grow our network of donors, including individuals and foundations. This position will report to the Executive Director.

Additional Information: IMET is a joint University System of Maryland research institute capitalizing on the strengths of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES), the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), and the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). Salary range is $60,000–$70,000. This is an exempt, regular position that includes a competitive benefits package, including State of Maryland health benefit and retirement programs. This position also offers a generous paid time off package (22 days-annual leave, 14-days-sick leave, 3 days-personal leave, as well as federal holidays).
