Job summary

Engineers Without Borders USA is seeking a part-time Communications Coordinator to manage mass emails, social media support, and content dissemination for a 10,000+ volunteer network. The role emphasizes timely, on-brand communications and collaboration across teams.

You will translate program strategy into clear materials, maintain an assets library, and monitor performance to improve engagement. This position is hybrid/remote with Colorado preference and occasional travel to Denver.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in communications, marketing, nonprofit communications, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience supporting communications, digital marketing, email marketing, social media, or related work.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with concise, audience-appropriate communications.
• Familiarity with email marketing principles, audience segmentation, testing, and performance measurement, hands-on experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Canva or Adobe and ability to create on-brand assets using brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage mass emails through ESPs, including newsletters and program updates to volunteers and stakeholders.
• Optimize email engagement, timing, cadence, subject lines, accessibility, and performance data.
• Gather and organize photos, videos, stories, and content; maintain an asset library.
• Support storytelling and content dissemination across email, social media, web, and other channels.
• Support branding needs from staff and volunteer chapters, including flyers, templates, logos, and assets.
• Track basic email and social media performance and share insights across departments.
