The ByWater Institute at Tulane University is seeking a Communications Assistant to maintain its social media presence, post approved media, and engage audiences on LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms. The role collaborates with leadership and the Science Communication Coordinator to promote climate and water research.
Ideal candidates have excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media
The ByWater Institute’s mission is to catalyze thriving climate and water futures through transdisciplinary & collaborative scholarship. Under the direction of the leadership team and in coordination with the Science Communication Coordinator, the Communications Assistant will maintain the ByWater Institute social media presence. This includes posting approved media and engaging with Institute audiences on LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
Ability to complete and pass successfully the required occupational health screening referenced in the University’s Animal Handler Health Surveillance Program on an annual basis.
Selected candidates must complete and pass a background check and an occupational health screening as a condition of employment. For identified jobs, a drug screening will also be required. The background investigation, required occupational health screening, and any required drug screening will be conducted after a conditional employment offer has been extended.
