Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Communications Coordinator to manage communications between management, committees, and the board. You will draft newsletters, update the website, send notices, and support lifestyle events with marketing materials.

The role requires strong organization and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Full-time exempt position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or similar discipline.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Capable of delivering an exceptional level of service to clients.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Proficiency in Canva and Constant Contact (preferred).
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Understand community association operations and governing documents.
  • Draft and distribute weekly lifestyle newsletter.
  • Update and coordinate information on the association website.
  • Send meeting notices; post minutes and contracts to portal/server.
  • Coordinate digital signage inside the Community Center.
  • Host Zoom and virtual meetings as needed.
  • Prepare monthly management updates for the Board.
  • Assist Lifestyle Director with event information distribution.
  • Create marketing materials for events.
  • Assist Ticket Tailor event registration.
  • Monitor Ballroom Rental Events.
  • Cross-train on front desk support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

Job Overview:
As a Communications Coordinator, you will help manage all correspondence areas between management, committees and the board of directors.

Your Responsibilities
  • Understand community association operations, governing documents and processes and procedures.
  • Draft and distribute weekly lifestyle electronic newsletter.
  • Update, maintain, and coordinate information displayed on the association website
  • Send meeting notices
  • Post minutes, contracts, and other documentation to portal and server.
  • Update digital signage players inside the Community Center.
  • Host Zoom and virtual meetings as needed.
  • Put together monthly management update based on information provided by other members of the team to send to the Board of Directors.
  • Assist the Lifestyle Director in coordinating the distribution of information related to lifestyle events hosted by the community.
  • Create marketing materials as needed for the promotion of various events and activities.
  • Assist Lifestyle Director with aspects of Ticket Tailor event registration
  • Monitor Ballroom Rental Events as needed
  • Cross-Train on front desk support
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or similar discipline
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience working with a team and independently
  • Capable of delivering an exceptional level of service to our clients
  • High level competency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel
  • Preferred efficiency in Canva and Constant Contact

What We Offer

As a full-time exempt associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, and vision. In addition, you will be eligible for time off benefits, paid holidays and a 401k with company match. Occasional travel may be required to attend training and other company functions.

Compensation

$24.00-$26.00 / annually
