Job summary

The Nashua River Watershed Association (NRWA) is seeking a Communications & Community Engagement Manager to tell our story and connect with members, donors, volunteers, and partners. In this full-time role, you will collaborate with the Senior Director of Advancement, shape NRWA's communications and community outreach, and support donor stewardship and development operations across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years in communications, marketing, nonprofit advancement, or related field.
• Exceptional written, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Naturally curious, eager to learn, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging content for newsletters, emails, website, social media, blogs, and print publications.
• Translate scientific and conservation work into clear, engaging communications for diverse audiences.
• Maintain NRWA's brand voice, visual identity, and messaging across materials.
• Coordinate photography, video, digital and printed publications; manage visual content.
• Support timely advocacy communications and action alerts to inspire community participation.
• Maintain and enhance NRWA site content; lead digital communications and online communities.
• Attend events to capture stories and build relationships reflecting NRWA's mission.
• Represent NRWA at events and partner meetings as an enthusiastic ambassador.
• Process gifts, memberships, acknowledgements, and donor communications in CRM.
• Maintain constituent records and data integrity in CRM.
• Support fundraising campaigns, stewardship, grants, and events.
• Prepare reports for fundraising initiatives and leadership.
