Job summary

NRDC is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Communications to advance organizational goals and public engagement across the Nature Department (Ocean, Lands, and Food & Agriculture). Under the Managing Director, Integrated Communications, you will develop, launch, measure, and optimize a multichannel departmental plan.

This role collaborates with media, digital advocacy, fundraising, and content teams to amplify NRDC's impact and drive supporter action.

Qualifications

• 4 or more years leading communications campaigns and coordinating teams, with 7 years in the field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Develops clear, measurable multichannel communication plans for the Nature department.
• Collaborates with Editorial, Digital Advocacy, and Fundraising teams to amplify NRDC impact.
• Maintains messaging for strategic initiatives and prioritizes communications opportunities.
• Partner with leadership to implement executive thought leadership strategies.
• Evaluate campaigns using data insights to inform future strategies.
