Cayuga Health in Ithaca, NY is seeking a daytime/early evening front desk/clerical associate to greet callers, route inquiries, and support hospital operations. This onsite role supports patient access and information services within Cayuga Medical Center and affiliated sites.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, clerical or healthcare experience preferred, and hours across 7am–3pm, 11am–7pm, and 3pm–11pm.

• Utilizes RAVE system correctly.
• Knows enunciator panel/alarm systems and notifies appropriate personnel in case of equipment failure or alarm activation.
• Maintains log of all codes.
• Maintains accurate patient and religious census records
• Maintains on-call schedules and daily on-call assignment sheets.
• Greets on-site customers appropriately.
• Handles general information questions and referrals correctly and efficiently.
• Responds to questions in accordance with hospital policy.
• Flexibility in assuming other appropriate responsibilities and duties not noted above.

Required Skills And Experience

• Education: High school degree or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous clerical and/or healthcare experience preferred.
• Hours:7am-3pm, 11am-7pm, 3pm-11pm

Physical Requirements

• Repetitive use of hands and fingers (i.e. use of computer keyboard). May require use of lifting and carrying light loads (up to 10 pounds). Sitting or standing/walking for long periods of time.

Pay Range Disclosure

• Standard Rate of $18.00 - $23.20 per hour plus benefits
