Job summary

The Jain Family Institute in New York seeks a Communications Associate to help develop our external communications program. You will create and publish fresh content across our website, social media, and other platforms, and contribute to new public-facing workstreams and coverage.

Reporting to the Editorial Director, the role emphasizes curiosity, adaptability, and strong writing, with responsibilities spanning content management, outreach, analytics, and the ongoing development of

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of communications and public relations experience.
• Interest in interdisciplinary work and social impact.
• Knowledge of economics, political science, or social science is helpful.
• Self-starter with creative, resourceful approach.
• Experience with university or policy-like organizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage external platforms with daily updates across website and social channels.
• Maintain PR Editorial Calendar with project leads and CSO.
• Develop external contacts and outreach to scholars and journalists.
• Assist with social media advertising and analytics.
• Promote blog posts and newsletters; support Twitter content.
• Help develop and formalize communications strategies.
