BestPrep is hiring a part-time paid Communications and Events Intern for the 2026-2027 school year. Tasks include writing and scheduling social media posts, compiling/editing and sending newsletters, making website edits, updating flyers, assisting with various fundraising event tasks, photography, newsletters and more. Time will be dedicated to learning about the organization’s other programs and their impact on students.

Perfect for an undergraduate college student who is interested in journalism, marketing, English, creative writing, communications, design, event planning, education, or nonprofit development.

Time commitment: approximately 15-20 hours a week.

Internship stipend: Total stipend of $6,000 ($3,000 per semester) to be paid by direct deposit on a bi-monthly basis.

Work mode: Hybrid; remote and on-site work; in-person hours occur M-F between 7:30 am – 5 pm.

Location: Includes remote work, scheduled in-office hours (Brooklyn Park), periodic in-person meetings and event attendance.

Not required but preferred:
  • Experience with Canva, WordPress, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Photoshop, InDesign, Outlook
  • Experience with digital design, website editing, social media strategy, and/or photography
  • Volunteer experience with nonprofit or charity
  • Understanding of BestPrep; have attended Minnesota Business Venture or utilized BestPrep programs in school
  • Availability to travel to Meet-and-Greats, mock interviews, and classroom presentations to take photos
