Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools seeks a part-time Teacher, TOSA for Adult Basic Education - Writing (.2 FTE) to lead curriculum development and support teachers across sites. The role focuses on articulating curricula, developing assessments, and promoting technology use such as Schoology.

Duties include coordinating resources, providing descriptions and pacing, and collaborating with staff. An average of 8 hours weekly at two sites is required, with flexibility for day/evening hours during the

Qualifications

• Valid MN teaching license (K12 or ABE).
• 3+ years Adult Ed experience.
• Direct experience teaching writing and listening/speaking in an Adult Ed classroom.
• Experience teaching, preferably adults.
• Comfortable with diverse range of native-speaking and ELL students.
• ACES/TIF and CCRS training completed.
• Willing to teach in the team’s course area.

Responsibilities

• Lead curricular team and coordinate curriculum resources.
• Provide updated course descriptions and benchmarks.
• Share syllabi with pacing guidelines for day/evening sites.
• Maintain and update teacher guides and Schoology resources.
• Collaborate with admin and other TOSAs on curricula and PD.
• Attend staff meetings and support teachers as needed.
