Strategic Retirement Consulting's Participant Engagement Consulting team

is looking for a Communication Consultant. The role will provide opportunities to:

1. Consult with, motivate, and influence clients to drive positive outcomes by using data and thought leadership to identify key opportunities while demonstrating a deep knowledge of the Participant Experience, Vanguard solutions, and the plan sponsor's unique needs.
2. Develop strategies that balance the needs of the client, participant, and business and oversee the implementation and measurement of the strategies.
3. Present the Strategic Retirement Consulting value story to Vanguard clients and sales prospects.
4. Positively influence plan sponsor/ client perception of the participant experience and create opportunities to deepen participant relationships with Vanguard.

The ideal candidate will…

1. Be consultative and influential with plan sponsors and internal stakeholders to drive positive outcomes.
2. Have a passion for working with external clients (including retirement plan sponsors, consultants, and vendors) and excellent relationship management skills.
3. Have the proven ability to interpret data and leverage insights to drive recommendations with clients.
4. Be a strategic thinker who can problem solve while managing multiple priorities through strong judgement and time management skills.

Responsibilities

1. Represent Vanguard's participant experience to a book of business, ensuring they fully understand and appreciate our services and offerings.
2. Develop participant engagement strategies tailored to provide solutions that meet client and participant needs, leveraging our best-in-class approach.
3. Consult with plan sponsor clients using key plan metrics, participant insights, and our proven participant communications approaches to drive positive participant outcomes.
4. Leverage plan sponsor/ participant engagement data and insights to create and deliver participant engagement strategies. Identify trends for future application.
5. Leverage Vanguard's proven communication best practices to engage participants.
6. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum five years related work experience, with strong client-facing experience and executive presence (B2B preferred).
2. Strong ability to consult with clients and influence their thinking, coupled with strategic and conceptual thinking, relationship building, and stakeholder management skills.
3. Experience/familiarity with the 401(k) recordkeeping business preferred.
4. Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
