Overview

Commodity Trade/Logistics Assistant — Full-time

We are seeking a detail-driven Commodity Trade Assistant to support our trade team in managing logistics for customer truck and rail car deliveries. This role is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills who thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will begin on the logistics side of commodity trading with the opportunity to advance to trading agricultural commodities. Prior experience in logistics is a plus but not required. Training is available for a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipments of commodities via rail and truck
• Monitor customer inventory levels and manage storage logistics
• Communicate via phone or email with suppliers and carriers to ensure smooth operations
• Track shipments and resolve delays or disruptions
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
• Analyze logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency
• Maintain accurate documentation, including bills of lading, contracts, and shipping records

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics helpful but not required
• Experience: 0–3 years of experience in logistics management
• Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical abilities
