Boise Cascade seeks a Commodity Product Manager to drive product lines, select vendors, monitor performance, and assist in purchasing lumber products aligned with location sales goals. The role involves negotiating with vendors, coordinating with sales and marketing, and developing programs for promotions and product support.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years in lumber-related purchasing/sales with strong communication and teamwork abilities, plus a college degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience in related function.
• 3–5 years of related experience preferred.
• Lumber-related purchasing and/or sales in building materials industry preferred.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or with teams/groups.

Responsibilities

• Set product lines and select vendors to support sales goals.
• Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery with suppliers.
• Assist in purchasing lumber product lines and direct/warehouse sales.
• Develop programs, promotions, and product support with sales/marketing.
• Monitor performance and rebates; ensure vendor compliance.
