Job summary

Gold-Eagle Cooperative in Eagle Grove, IA is seeking a full-time Commodity Merchandiser - Grain Originator to drive grain origination and trading operations, connecting local farmers to markets and ensuring smooth logistics.

You will source corn and beans, oversee grain movement, support hedging strategies, monitor CBOT and NGFA developments, share market insights, and collaborate with a team that values innovation and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics, agricultural economics, finance, business administration, or other business discipline.
• Working knowledge of futures markets, hedging, and arbitrage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong quantitative skills, including basic knowledge of statistics.
• Ability to organize multiple responsibilities, prioritize workload, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license.

You’ll manage everything from sourcing corn and beans to overseeing grain movement and assisting with hedging strategies. You'll keep trades accurate and timely, monitor CBOT and NGFA developments, and contribute to strategic planning that shapes our future. Along the way, you'll share market insights, visit customers, and collaborate with a team that values innovation and growth.
