Job summary

Gold-Eagle Cooperative in Eagle Grove, IA is seeking a full-time Commodity Merchandiser - Grain Originator to connect farmers to markets and manage grain origination. You will source corn and beans, oversee movement, and support hedging strategies while ensuring accurate trades and coordinated logistics.

You’ll monitor CBOT/NGFA developments, share market insights, visit customers, and collaborate with a team focused on innovation and growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, agricultural economics, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Working knowledge of futures markets, hedging, and arbitrage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong quantitative skills, including basic statistics.
• Ability to organize multiple responsibilities and multitask.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing corn and beans and overseeing grain movement.
• Assist with hedging strategies and ensure timely, accurate trades.

OUR IDEAL COMMODITY MERCHANDISER - GRAIN ORIGINATOR:

• Bachelor's degree in economics, agricultural economics, finance, business administration, or other business discipline
• Working knowledge of futures markets, hedging, and arbitrage
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong quantitative skills, including basic knowledge of statistics
• Ability to organize multiple responsibilities, prioritize workload, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Valid driver's license
