Job summary

Global Hedge Fund in Norwalk, CT, is seeking a Commodities Operations Analyst to join the Investment Operations team. You will support the post-trade lifecycle for Oil, Electricity/Power, and Natural Gas products, including futures, options, and swaps, and work with multiple stakeholders to resolve operational issues.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in commodities or derivatives operations.
• Experience with Oil, Electricity/Power, or Natural Gas.
• Experience with futures, options, swaps post-trade lifecycle.
• Understanding of trade capture, confirmations, rolls, expirations.
• Experience reconciling trades with brokers and counterparties.
• Familiarity with Advent Geneva or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily trade, position, cash, and P&L reconciliations across Oil, Electricity/Power, and Natural Gas products.
• Support the post-trade lifecycle for futures, options, and swaps.
• Investigate and resolve trade breaks, position discrepancies, cash differences, valuation issues.
• Monitor lifecycle events such as expirations, option exercises/assignments, futures rolls, swap resets, settlements, cash flows, and terminations.
• Reconcile commodity positions and trade economics with brokers, FCMs, clearinghouses, and counterparties.
• Support daily processing and reconciliation of exchange-traded and OTC commodity derivatives.
• Collaborate with Trading, Middle Office, Risk, Treasury, Finance, Technology, brokers, and counterparties to resolve issues and ensure trade processing.
• Maintain accurate trade, position, contract, counterparty, and reference data for reporting.
