Job summary

An energy infrastructure company in Houston is seeking a Manager, Commodities Accounting to lead the accounting and reporting for commodity transactions, including LNG and natural gas. This role requires a strong knowledge of derivatives accounting and U.S. GAAP, along with proven leadership experience. Candidates must have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years in commodities accounting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience in commodities accounting within energy or trading.
• Strong knowledge of derivatives accounting, hedge accounting, and fair value measurements.

Responsibilities

• Lead all commodities accounting activities, including physical and financial transactions.
• Partner with Commercial, Trading, and Risk Management teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
