  • Support both virtual and in‑person committee meetings, working closely with the Standards Operations Specialist to plan logistics and coordinate schedules
  • Lead technical committee meetings, representing SAE and facilitating productive discussions that advance committee objectives
  • Use metrics, industry knowledge, and committee data to assess committee health, identify growth opportunities, and drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues across SAE—including product, content management, legal, marketing, and sales—to ensure efficient standards development from initiation to publication
  • Provide administrative oversight for SAE’s Standards Systems Groups and support committee use of SAE platforms, policies, and tools
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance committee operations and overall program efficiency
  • Hire, supervise, and assign work to editorial consultants and subcontractors as needed
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal partners, industry associations, and external organizations to support committee activities and strategic partnerships
  • Promote the work of SAE technical committees through presentations, industry engagement, and targeted outreach efforts
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies to advance committee visibility, participation, and usage of SAE standards

  • Experience in managing people (i.e., supervision, volunteerism)
